2001 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Looking to get on the road without dishing out thousands on a new bike? Here we have a great candidate for a 1st bike, or a great 2nd bike. This 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 250 runs and shifts great, but could with a little TLC could be as good as new. We recently performed a fuel system flush and carburetor cleaning and adjustment, replaced the spark plugs, checked the compression (which came out good), cleaned the air filter, and installed a new battery. Mechanically the engine and transmission are solid, but the bike currently needs a fresh set of tires, a clutch lever (current is bent), some chain maintenance (could use lubrication and tension adjustment), and the cush drive should be replaced (relatively simple procedure). Also, the front rotor should be replaced, along with a set of front brake pads. With a little bit of work, you could be on the road with a few hundred in savings in your pocket!
