Description:

Honda XR500 1980 Excellent condition Honda XR500 (all original) made between 1979-1980. Imported from America recently with no rust. Comes with UK/DVLA NOVA Cert and all taxes paid. Header pipes and exhaust are in Excellent condition. Tank has no rust inside whatsoever. New Renthal handlebars, ACERBIS bush whackers/guards, Runs very well and is very complete. Wouldn't take long to make this one concours condition. I have replaced the Keihin carb with a much better brand new Mikuni made for this model, however, it will need tuning in. It also comes with an upgraded Mikuni side throttle (Keihin and older throttle comes with it). Has the original Honda plastic tool kit container and the Honda enduro tool bag on the back, but will need a new zipper. Comes with many parts to upgrade; Rectangular swingarm, Mikuni carb, Honda XL500 Flywheel and Alternator to make it 12V and the heavier XL500 flywheel will make it a more comfortable ride for longer distances and green laning, coils, grips, leavers, gaskets, spare pristine header pipes, spare speedos - a new one was fitted, back rack, enduro rear light, fork seals, cables, gear lever, rectifier, plug, cog washer see images. This XR500 is an appreciating classic in the right condition to make into a show bike if you wanted, or, a reliable green laner. I bought it to make it concours, but I now have too many bikes and projects and need to let this wonderful example go. Still available at ListedBuy!
