VW T4 2.4 D LWB 1998 I purchased this van back in 2019. It was a Cat D sold on the auction site COPART. The van had some fire damage to the electrics and needed some minor body work on the bonnet. I replaced the wiring loom and repaired the damaged body work. This has been an amazing van and I am reluctantly selling mainly due to the fact I just don’t have time to use it. The van shows just over 190k on the clock but it is much lower. When I purchased the van it had 119k on the clock and after approx 12 months I had to replace the dashboard unit due to the speedometer failing. I went to a local VW T4 breakers in Dorset and purchased a second hand one which read 184k so I would estimate the van has only done around 130k. I have kept the old dash unit and you can see the milage jump on the MOT history. I would say I only do between 2-3k per year as this van is only used as a day van. The van did not come with any service history so since I have owned it I have had it serviced, replaced the vacuum pump, battery, gear linkage and had some minor work carried out when the van failed its MOT previously. The only minor issue is the starting motor seems to be on its way out as now and again it will make a noise when it starts up. This has not caused me any issues. Since I have had the van it has been super reliable and I have travelled to Cwmbran in Wales many times as well as numerous days out in Dorset/Devon. The van never overheats, drives well and will happily cruise at 65-70mph on the motorway. The van has an MOT until 19/12/23. The body work is solid for the age. There are no major rust issues and the arches are solid. There are a few minor rust spots which I have included in the photos. The van has a double passenger captains seat at the front which works but needs someone to look at the fixings as these are a little loose and needs adjusting. It has three seats in the back. The flooring was done when I purchased the van, it is Lino flooring... Still available at ListedBuy!
