81 R100RS restoration: Removed all bodywork and sent out for paintPowder coat valve coversRemoved front wheel and inspected front brake rotors for straightness and wear patterns.Rebuilt front brake calipers and replaced brake pads in both calipers.Removed cleaned and flushed front brake lines and distribution block.Replaced front brake light switch.Filled and bled front brake system.Rebuilt front forks used new fork seals, dust covers and refilled with silkolene 10 weight fork oil.Removed, thoroughly cleaned and inspected steering head bearings and re-greased.Cleaned and rebuild steering stabilizer adjustment system.Removed and replaced stock exhaust system with brand new aftermarket system.Cleaned and polished exhaust flange nuts and reinstalled with new exhaust gaskets.Adjusted Valves to factory specsCleaned and synchronized carburetors and adjusted to perfection!Cleaned the inside of the headlight lens.Cleaned and refitted fuel valves.Replaced cross over fuel line with OEM braided fuel line and installed fuel filters.Installed fuel line clamps and safety wired fuel filters.Installed new air filter.Adjusted clutch.Tightened all handle bar accessories.Removed rear subframe and removed rust, prepped, and repainted affected area.Checked rear brake disc for straightness and wear patterns, all is very good.Removed, bead blasted and repainted battery box and replaced all hardware with stainless hardware.Replaced battery with BMW Gel battery.Replaced faulty rear wiring harness connector with a weather pack water proof harness connector.Bead blasted and restored kickstand.Disassembled rear swing arm and removed all rust and corrosion and repainted.Rebuilt rear brake master cylinder.Cleaned rear brake reservoir.Cleaned and rebuilt rear brake caliper and replaced brake pads.Cleaned and inspected rear brake lines.Bead blasted rust and corrosion from rear brake master cylinder mounting bracket and repainted.Cleaned and removed corrosion from rear brake linkages and brake pedal.Reassembled rear brake system and bled.Removed final drive and inspected drive shaft, appeared factory new.Changed final drive gear oil and cleaned and regreased final drive splines before reinstalling rear wheel.Cleaned all frame and bodywork hardware that was removed.Cleaned and inspected front and rear axles.Cleaned and lubricated seat latch.Cleaned and removed all corrosion from rear brake caliper carrier.
