Got a newer one.
Used 1998 Honda Valkyrie 32,200 miles
Powerful 1520 cc 6 cyl with lots of factory chrome. 32,200 miles on drive train that can do well over 200K.The only 6 cyl standard bike ever made. Has the goldwing motor in a light great looking cruiser.Aftermarket Supertrapp exhaust cost $1400 and Stage #1 jet kit was $110 just for the parts.Full windshield and lowers. Hard saddle bags with locks. This thing runs great. I put 200 miles on it yesterday and it ran great. Only problem is keeping traction in 2nd gear. It tends to smoke the tire if you get on the throttle too quick. If you are looking for something different that is made in American ( Made in Ohio) . I stopped at 110 miles and filled up and it only took 2.9 gal so you can do the math on the fuel economy. I was getting about 35 MPG. The years have been good to this bike. I put 13000 miles on it last year and had so much fun I baught its big brother the Interstate. It is not as fast but has more features and full bags.If you are looking for a Harley plan on spending twice the price and giving your paychecks to the dealers for service. The Valkyrie uses standard diesel oil and car type filters and is easy to work on. I will give you the service manual. HD are not built to last like this bike. How many do you see with a quarter million miles? The timing belt on this bike is to be replaced every 100K miles.
