1975 Harley-Davidson MX Off-Road Motocross
Used 1975 Harley-Davidson MX250
1975 HARLEY-DAVIDSON MX 250SCARCE MX250 PROTOTYPEBuilt as a test race bike in late 1975 and sent to Harley dealers around the USA. The MX250 included parts such as the Hurst Airheart rear disc brake, Kayaba Fork Shocks,Magura Throttle and Levers, Champion Chrome Moly Frame Swing Arm, Showa Fork, Aermacchi MX250 Race motor with 5 gear Close Ratio transmission, K/N Malcolm Smith Bars, A.C.S. Exhaust, SUN Rims with Buchanan Spokes, Front Hub is Yamaha MX, Preston Petty Fenders (front missing), Whittaker unbreakable gas tank, Hurst Airheart disc brakes with HH Caliper (missing), Del Lorto 34 mm carburetor, Dansi Ignition and was Built in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. and weighed about 220lbs.This Motocrosser is VERY clean and appears to have little usage. Bike starts and runs, transmission shifts all gears, Wheels spin straight, cables all work and I only see minor dings such as 1 very small 1 in one of the down tubes on frame, small ding on the top of the pipe? not sure if it wasn't made that way. You'll need a few parts to complete. The bike needs side covers, front fender, missing the exhaust pickle, air filter element, Rear brake caliper and pedal / brake cylinder, seat is being re upholstered now. It doesn't need much of anything in the way of repairs or restoration (it's so clean!) just someone to gather up parts to finish.
