1980 Harley-Davidson® FLT Tour Glide®
Used 1980 Harley-Davidson FLT Black
A Classic AMF 80" Shovelhead, It's is a Oldie, but a Goodie!!!Here is a bike that we don't see every day!!! The AMF "King of the Road" 80" FLT Shovelhead!! Rubber mounted Shovelhead, with a 5 Gear Transmission. The FLT Tour Glide was introduced in 1979 as a 1980 model. The Tour Glide was designed for the long rides on the American Interstates and it was also pre-owned by the Highway Patrol. Sold alongside the existing FLH Electra Glide, the FLT had a larger frame with rubber engine mounts, a 5 gear transmission, the 80 cu in (1,340 cc) engine, and a frame-mounted fairing. In order that the FLT frame, which was larger and heavier than the large and heavy FLH frame, would handle acceptably, the front forks were given radical steering geometry which had them mounted behind the steering head, with the frame behind the steering head being recessed to allow adequate steering lock. The Shovelhead engine in the FLT is an evolution of the previous 74", 1200cc Shovelhead, and it has grown to 1340cc.Another feature was the alloy rims, which enhanced the manuverability over the spoke wheels. This 1 has low miles on it. It has had the stock carb. updated to a CV style, and a more modern air box has also been installed.Looking for a classic Shovelhead, this 1 is worth a look!!!Completely serviced, and ready to ride!!!Each bike goes through rigorous inspection, cleaning and examination before we feel comfortable considering it a part of our inventory and available for sale. Once we are through with our thorough inspections and cleanings and the bike has been approved for sale, we photograph it from all angles. The picture views assure to our clients that the bike is in attractive condition and there are no flaws to hide, which is important to both us and to our on-line buyers. Be sure to check out brennys dot com for this, and lots of other bikes, scooters, and ATVs!!
