This is my 500cc Triumph Speed Twin 5TA motorcycle that I built about 20 years ago out of new and spare parts that I had bought over the years. The frame is 1960 and the engine is of that era as well. I have always liked the look of the early Tiger 100 so I built it to look like one of those models. It has 12volt electrics but it still runs the Speed Twin distributor, all the wiring was rebuilt at the time with separate earths and is still in very good condition. It has been used each summer over the years but nearly always in good weather and because the lighting is so good for early evening runs to the coast and back at night. It now has the odd chip on it but you would have to look hard to find them. It starts first kick every time and has never let me down ever in 20 years. It has been serviced regularly and is kept in a heated garage with a cover at all times. It goes very well and has all the feel of a 1960s bike, it uses very little oil and pulls really well for 63 year old bike. Just a very nice bike that was built to be ridden. The reason for the sale is that I am running out of room as I have a number of other bikes and one unfortunately has to go. Please feel free to ask any questions. Still available at ListedBuy!
