FOR SALE 1980 T140E triumph Bonneville – USspec bike that has been in the UK all of its life, with 19,289 Total miles fromnew and 657 total miles since a total restoration and rebuild. This bike is in immaculatecondition and rides as good as it looks. The list of work done, and partsreplaced is almost endless, but here is just a general overview of therestoration and rebuild. Chassis, Frame and swing arm, completelystripped and re-finished in gloss black. Wheels - re-build with newchrome rims and stainless-steel spokes and nipples. Forks – New fork legs, seals anddust shields and correct fluid fitted. Rear shock absorbers – originalsreplaced with correct “Hagon” units (black and chrome) Ride quality is excellent eitherone or two up.. Chrome work - 100% with many newparts i. e. front mudguard, handle bars, headlight, headlight brackets.. “Avon Road Rider” tyres fittedfront and rear (great handling and grip). Seat – new, quality reproductionseat fitted.. Rear chain guard – new replacementguard fitted. Brakes, Brake cylinders / callipers /hoses – all front and rear brake components have been replaced. Front and rearmaster cylinders are now stainless-steel units. Electrical, Voltage regulator / rectifier –original replaced with solid state unit for reliability. Ignition coils – original twincoils replaced with a single, twin lead coil for reliability (and a lot lessclutter under the seat). Headlight – Halogen bulb fitted.. Ignition – Original electronicunit fitted as standard on 1980 US spec bikes.. Switch gear – LH and RH switchgear replaced for new. Engine, Cylinder head – fullydecarbonised, and new inlet and exhaust valves, guides and springs fitted.. Rocker boxes – new valve tappetadjusters and lock nuts fitted.. Cylinder / pistons – Cylinder replacedwith new standard bore cylinder with new low compression pistons and ringsfitted. Bottom end – new main bearings, big end bearings and oil pump fitted.. Oil filter – replaceable oilfilter. Still available at ListedBuy!
