SOLD 11/21/23......1988 BMW K75S MARRAKESH RED, NEW BATTERY & TIRES, 10K SERVICE, NEW FUEL PUMP AND FILTER SOLD 11.21.23.....1988 BMW K75S MARRAKESH RED, NEW BATTERY & TIRES, 10K SERVICE, NEW FUEL PUMP AND FILTERVery clean and sharp low miles 1988 BMW K75S. Came to us with a leaky fuel tank. We discovered a very corroded aluminum tank interior. We tried to clean it out and have the holes welded, bur after 3 tries, we gave it up as a bad choice.Before we started spending too much on rehabilitating this K75S, we wanted to know the condition of the bike overall. So, we borrowed a proper tank from a friend, and put a couple of hundred miles on the bike. We were quite pleased with the results! The bike starts easily and runs GREAT! A real joy to ride around town and on the highway.We searched the internet for a good replacement fuel tank, and after a little over a year we finally found a nice white one on ebay. We stripped the paint of to bare metal, and painted it with aluminum friendly primer, then did a beautiful Marrakesh red Glasruit paint job on the tank to match the rest of the bike.The red on the rest of the bike rubbed out very well, so it was all a very good match.We installed a new fuel pump and filter and hoses inside the tank, and found a good used fuel level float to replace the corroded one.We performed a Factory Recommended BMW 10K Service on the BMW, an all day job, and pulled the drive shaft to clean and lube the splines on both ends,The rubber boot on the air filter housing to the intake, and the boots between the air collector and the throttle bodies were replaced, as was the exterior fuel lines.We mounted and balanced a pair of new Dunlop tires. We cut a spare key. We installed a new battery. Finally, we put another long test ride on the finished BMW.This BMW is equipped with a Progressive Suspension Rear Monoshock. A pair of original BMW Integral Cases and mounts are included. It is also equipped with an Aeroflow Tall Tinted Windscreen.We would be happy to answer any questions you have about this BMW motorcycle; please call us at 614.837.XXXX.
