Rare, clean, low mileage (16,048 miles) 1995 Harley-Davidson FXSTSB Bad Boy Springer Softail, one of only 3,367 Bad Boy models built. This motorcycle originally had the blue scallops, of which 1,747 were built. The previous owner had begun to mildly customize this, and had painted over the original tanks and fenders. They also removed the rear fender struts to add a custom rear fender, which I have since replaced. The fender struts, fuel tanks, and front and rear fenders are all original paint 1997 Bad Boy pieces, of which only 767 sets were produced. All of the other original parts on this Bad Boy are native to this motorcycle. I will give auction winner the front fender with silver scallops andand all mounting hardware. Additionally, this auction includes the original Harley-Davidson rear swing arm, original Bad Boy disc rear wheel with tire, belt pulley, axle, original floating brake rotor and silver Bad Boy rear brake caliper. The auction also includes the original 21" front wheel with tire, original pistons and cylinder heads (removed @ 12,000 miles), and original foot controls. The original swing arm has been replaced with a rare Boyd Coddington polished billet aluminum swing arm, from the early 1990's. Rear wheel is black anodized contrast-cut 18" x 3.5" with new (1,100 miles) 140mm tire with new Performance-Machine differential bore 4-piston chrome billet brake caliper. Rear shocks have been upgraded and an adjustable rear lowering kit is installed. Front wheel is 23" x 3", front tire has 4,000 miles on it (because of the larger circumference of the 23" wheel, speedometer/odometer readings are lower than actual- mileage is probably closer to 18,500). Both wheels use 1" sealed bearings. Springer front fork has been lowered 1.5" using the Burly lowering spring kit. I installed low-rise drag handlebars, with electrical wiring run inside the bars. Hand controls are stock, grips are comfortable Avon Contour, mirrors are Harley-Davidson. Foot controls are black anodized billet aluminum. Seat is LePera Bare Bones diamond-stitch, and this motorcycle comes with a short detachable back rest and diamond stitch passenger pad. There is an original Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer sissybar bag on the left side of the bike, for your cell phone, registration, pistol, etc. This past winter I removed the stock cylinder heads and pistons, and installed new Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle high performance cylinder heads and special port-matched 10.5:1 compression pistons. The cylinders were still standard bore, so I honed them out to +0.005" to accept the slightly over-sized pistons. I also installed an Andrews 0.510" lift camshaft, new cam bearing, and Jims Big-Axle roller tappets at that time. The ignition module is Screamin' Eagle. I re-jetted the SandS Super E carburetor, and the 80 cubic-inch engine makes amazing torque and horsepower with perfect throttle response. The new West Coast Choppers Hell Bent exhaust pipes run very well with anti-reversion cones installed at the head. This Bad Boy has been my daily rider for the past year. I would ride it anywhere, across country, it is very reliable. I have changed the oil and filter every 2,000 miles, using Zmax 20W50 synthetic. It currently has fresh oil and filter. This motorcycle runs, shifts, rides, stops perfectly, smooth on the highway, and can easily cruise at 90mph. The only one thing that should be done is to replace the fork neck bearings and races. The stock neck bearing races have the indentation, typical to all springer models, that you can feel when you turn the fork either way over center. I happen to like it, which is why I have not fixed it. But this is an imperfection that I feel obligated to point out. Otherwise, no issues.
