This is a 2005 Benelli TRE 900 triple. Its apparently the 4th one that rolled off the assembly line in 2005, not that it means anything. These triple cylinder bikes were the last of the big bore Italian Benellis before the company was bought by the Chinese. They still make the big bore bikes in Italy, but the smaller ones are made in China. These Italian triples are pretty rare both here and overseas. They also made a carbon fiber LE homologation model for superbike racing. They made 150 of those, but this is the standard version. This example has now 1198 original miles. That was when first got it and Its been part of my collection ever since. More recently, I had to replace the fuel pump which went south from sitting.Its now again a turn key bike! You wont find a cleaner nicer example but it does have a couple small hairline scratches in the lower left green panel. See pix. That's about it. The rest is as new. If you're not familiar with these bikes, it's powered by ?liquid-cooled, fuel injected four-stroke, 898cc, three cylinder motor with a six-speed transmission, claimed 140 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque, Ohlins front and rear suspension, forged aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes. The engine is a stressed member positioned forward for handling such that its radiator was relocated rearward with twin cooling fans peering rearward under the seat. I like to tell people it's jet powered because of the rearward facing fans. Its a good story. Clear title in my name. Thank you for looking.
