This 1,632-cc Valkyrie Rune runs as smooth and strong as the day I bought it. I got the motorcycle new in 2004 and have been its only owner. I have put just 20,000 miles on the Rune and most of it has been on the highway. I have another motorcycle that I use as my daily cruiser and take out the Rune only once a week or so. It is in perfect shape mechanically. It's always been pampered and garage kept. It has never been in any accidents and hasn't been tipped over or banged up. It's a gorgeous, powerful and reliable motorcycle. I really hate to sell it, but need the money more than a second motorcycle. I have been riding motorcycles since the 1970s and have never seen or felt anything like the Rune. It's a beautifully crafted piece of art that will carry you down the highway in style. But don't take my word for it. Read what some reviewers have said about the Rune: "No doubt about it, Hondaâs Rune has set a new standard for others to live up to. With flowing lines, tons of chrome and the howl that flows from the six-cylindersâ innovative mufflers, the Rune is truly rolling art. Fit, finish, and attention to detail is first class. Heavy? Sure, but as soon as the speed starts to climb, its 877 pounds all but disappear. Long? You bet, the nearly six feet of wheelbase make the Rune very stable in a straight line; but it can be turned with surprisingly little effort."Once Iâd ridden it far enough to tell you about it, all I could think of was to show it to everyone. Even people who wouldnât give a motorcycle a second glance were amazed. If Schwarzenegger gets himself elected, he should ride a Rune to his inauguration, it looks like it was made for a Terminator movie. "This hovercraft feel is one of the qualities that make the Rune so incredibly comfortable to ride. Like the deep, modern sounding purr of the big six, everyone also loved the light feel of the controls and the smooth transmission action. The ergonomics seem to have a universal appeal, too, with both our tallest and shortest testers giving positive regard to the seat-peg-bar relation.
