$1,750 OBO FOR SALE: Sym Symba Scooter

Price:
$1,750
Summary:
Used 2010 Sym SYMBA 2,712 miles
Location:
Greensboro, NC
Description:

I am selling a used, 2010 Sym Symba for $1,750 with 2712 miles. I absolutely love it, but my wife and I just had a baby, and since I can't strap his car seat to it, I can't ride it anymore. Everything on it works, and it is a great commuter vehicle. My commute to work was mostly in 35 to 55 mph zones, which the Symba handled like a champ. I did get it up to 61 mph once when I first got it just to see what it could do. The manufacturer rates the Symba for 100 mpg, but I got closer to 90-95 mpg. The Symba is modeled after the old Honda Cubs, which are no longer in production. Sym bought the rights to reproduce it under their name, calling it the Symba. The Discovery Channel declared the Honda Cub the #1 motorcycle of all time, so I included a link to that YouTube video below for your information and enjoyment. The video shows how incredibly reliable and unbreakable these things are.Being that it is 101cc's, it does require a license plate and motorcycle insurance. I'm sad to let it go, but it shouldn't sit in our building and not be on the road. During the winter I crank it up every week or so and let it run for 10 to 15 minutes just to keep the fluids running. I took it to a scooter shop last fall because it would act like it was flooding if you were in 4th gear at the same rpm for too long, (it only did this a few times) but if I down shifted or adjusted the speed it would go away. The mechanic said it sounded like the carburetor just needed a minor adjustment, but I'm not mechanically inclined enough to feel comfortable opening it up and it only happened a few times so I didn't bother with it. Other than that rare mishap I have never had an issue with it. It has cranked every time with the electronic start, but it does have a kick start if the battery were to die. I am including a trunk/case that mounts to the back of the Symba, as well as 2 helmets, and a rain cover. I would and probably will buy another Symba in the future when I'm not toting my son around. I have loved this bike. Feel free to ask questions, I have pictures of it on a Flickr page, and am available Monday through Thursday, and on Friday evenings to meet up if you are a serious buyer. I can only accept cash, but will have the title, and a bill of sale ready to go for the lucky buyer of this Symba.Link to the manufacturers page
