I have a 2008 Night Rod Special that really gets some attention, I have a soft spot for lowered Silverados so I may be up to a partial trade. The Night Rod Special has a 60 degree water,oil,and fan cooled 1250cc V-Twin motor. Due to the factory spec rake of the V-Rod, it is a slightly different handling motorcycle and I presonally wouldn't recommend this bike for a first time rider. The bike definately has enough power to satisfy the needs of the experienced and also provide the longevity and dependability designed by Porsche and made by Harley-Davidson Motor Company. This bike is a daily driver, I work at Harley-Davidson of Macon where every service has been performed by a factory trained technician. The valve lash was adjusted in addition to a premium service at 30k. (Valve lash on V-rods have to be adjusted every 15k miles) I use only 93 octane and Syn3 fluid. The Motrocycle runs absolutely perfect and has no issues other than a security light that stays on because of a custom L.E.D tailight with integrated turn signals. The motorcycle does not have security, but being part of the TSSM, the light stays on. I'm sure it can be turned off but it really doesn't bother me.
