About this vehicle This 1939 Other Makes Banquer Superior is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for auto shows. Vehicle Details Banquer Superior # 3 of this the series of # 4I built this motorcycle in 2005 for a customer who has owned it since new and has decided to sell it because of his change of interest. As a professional motorcycle builder, I have built Crocker Overhead Valve Conversion Indian 101 Scouts based on the 1929 Indian 101 Scout. In 2001, I built the 1st Banquer Superior because I wanted a bike that had the feel and general looks of a Brough Superior SS 100 but without the enormous cost and difficult to find refurbished Brough parts. I wanted a stable, dependable motorcycle that anyone could ride and repairs could be done by most mechanics with parts readily available. I also wanted complete control of the design, fabrication and final product. I felt I succeeded with #1 and I built 3 more for customers to their specs. Since my name is Gwen Banquer, BANQUER was used to name my bikes. My first two Banquer Superiors were covered in several International motorcycle magazines. This Banquer Superior #3 has a Rev Tech 110 hp motor with Rev Tech 5 speed tranny. It has primary and enclosed vented belt drive, wheels at 4.0×19 rear Avon and 3.0×21 Avon front. Disc brakes front and rear, leather and steel saddlebags, fly screen style windshield like on the Brough, 8" Miller style headlight, modern 12 V electrical system, front forks of my design to resemble the Brough castle forks, 530 chain final drive and powder coated rigid frame. This motorcycle has a five speed foot shift but my customer wanted a hand shift like a 1928 Brough SS 100. I built for this bike an electric shift system with a gas tank mounted handshift assembly identical to the 1928 Brough SS 100. It allows the rider to shift normally with the left foot shift but also, if desired, with your right hand using. Still available at ListedBuy!
