Up for sale is a 1954 BMW R51/3 Motorcycle . Clear title. 22,172 miles. Matching numbers 540887. It was a 2nd owner machine. Previous owner bought it in 1974, He did a custom paint job in the 1970s rode it then sat for years, he then got it running again in 2015 and ran into health issues and sat again. It was last running in 2015. It currently does not run. Engine turns over with compression. It is missing the frame Badge on the neck. Throttle works. Front Brake does work. Rear brake does work. Chrome overall has rust, needs to be cleaned up. Everything looks solid. Gas tank has some dings. Inside looks clean. Has keys. Fenders are solid but do show some small dings. Left cylinder head has 1 chipped fin. Right valve cover has 2 small chipped fins. Seat foam is gone. Pan is solid. Exhaust pipes have no holes. It does shift through the gears.
