Starting as a bicycle manufacture in 1869, they were at the forefront of the two wheeled market for years before many of the other more popular brands were even founded. The Ariel Red Hunter dates back to 1932, it was a well selling attractive motorcycle that carried on until the advent of WWII. Post war, Ariel was sold to BSA and their offerings slimmed to 3 models. The 500VH Red Hunter was in production from 1954-1959, building a total of around 1000 units for the world in total. This beautiful example is an older restoration that still shows beautifully. Elegant but all business off road Scrambler design. This particular example was featured in and the cover bike of the December 2020 Motorcycle Classics issue. These classic dirt bikes are an appreciating classic, and finding a rare English Classic like this VH Red Hunter is no easy feat. We are automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts that have lived and breathed great product for over 50 years.
