1957 R50 BMW. I am the 2nd owner. I purchased it from the original owner in 1994. It had been sitting in his garage for 10 years. I went through everything to obtain her all set to ride. Of everything I replaced, I still have the original part. I changed the original handle bars with european with the cable televisions and bar end turn signals. I replaced exhaust pipelines and mufflers. Prior to I purchased the bike I had a pair of original enduro bags or some describe them as BB bags, which I place on. They are in great shape with no cracks.I put on headlight mirrows, a headlight guard, brand-new petcocks, a flanders side stand, an extremely, really comfy broad duel seat. I changed original float tops on carburators with lever tops for much better sealing. (I still have originals ). I replaced initial points system with upgrade to Pentacomm system. It has original tire pump and owners manual. Tires have excellent tread, but are older and probably need to be changed. But the odometer did not when I got the bike running the speedometer worked. It showed 5,768 miles. I sent it to Palo Alto Speedometer to have it reconditioned. It now has 7,066 miles on it. I will probably put a few more on. This bike is incredible to ride, I still get goose bumps when I take It out. Always begins on 1st kick.
