Description:
1960 Panhead in very original, running, riding condition. This is a very nice, original panhead. I hate to sell it but I need to raise some funds. I've owned the bike 3 or 4 years and know the previous owner who had it several years. Its an original bike not a put together, assembled bike.The sheet metal & all emblems are original, HD. The paint I believe to be original but I am not 100% sure, its either original paint or an old repaint that was very well done. The gas tanks have the original parkerized finish on the inside & are as nice as I have seen, no rust in the tanks. Tanks do not leak, fuel shutoff does not leak & works correctly.Frame is original & in very good, original condition, no repairs or modifications.Engine is stock & runs very wellTransmission is stock & works fine. It does leak some fluid while sitting as most 4 speeds do. I just regularly check it before riding & top it off.Brakes & wheels stock, oem & work as they should.Tires are real Goodyears, not reproductions. I ride the bike regularly but mostly short trips, the tires are in good shape & ride smooth but I'd put newer tires on if I were going on long trips.Electrics are still 6 volt, but it has a modern battery inside a shell made like the original 6 volt battery, I put a Cycle Electric generator on for reliability, I have the old model 58 generator & wires (working condition)that I'd include with the bike.The seat is a real HD seat, not a reproduction.Real Royalite Bubble bags that are in very good condition, also have the extremely hard to find & expensive guards made for the bubble bags.Bike has very few reproduction parts, I do know the mirrors are repop, The mufflers are repop, the fishtail tips are old accessory items, rest of the exhaust I believe to be oem. Of course it does have some period accessories like the extended buddy pegs, balls, etc etc.The luggage rack is oem HD but later & its turned forward as I have a clamp on passenger seat & it works better that way.
