Up for auction is this iconic 1963 BSA Rocket Gold Star. This rolling chassis is being sold with a Bill of Sale, the title has been lost. Factory records state that GA10.811 was despatched to west coast distributor Hap Alzina on 12/12/1962 as a west coast spec RGS. According to the previous owners widow the engine was sent off for refurbishment but never came back, the history is now lost to time. The fitting of any late model Super Rocket Engine will be an ideal replacement. As you can see some tabs have been removed from the frame, nothing that cannot be easily reversed. It is my guess the p/o was intending to build a road racer utilizing a central oil tank or such. It still retains the original ARRT Gearbox, the rear inspection plate is missing. 190mm Front brake and Gold Star rear drum both laced to Dunlop 19" Alloy rims. Stock forks house a neat set of 1" diameter Clip On bars. Fantastic opportunity to build one of the most desirable British classics. As parts it can be shipped internationally and I will be able to drop off at your desired shipper in the Los Angeles area. Thanks for looking.
