The R71 is distinct in all the world for having the lengthiest production run of any car, 76 years and still counting! From 1938 until today it has been in nearly continuous production. Produced as the BMW R71 (1938-1941), then in Russia as the M72 (1942-1963), and finally China (1957-today) as the Chan Jiang 750 (as models M1, M1M, and M1S). While the design has progressed somewhat, particularly as each country started their manufacturing run, it remains firmly 1930s/1940s innovation, with some parts interchangeable with the original R71.The body is overall above average for age, lacquered black paint with typical wear and tear for a bike this age, slight damage on lower left front of tank. There is a little rip in the rear guest rubber seat. Interior of the side vehicle is nice however has a warn rubber mat with a tear. The bike and side car has won several trophies as is at automobile and bike shows.I do not believe these are the initial miles, however the odometer now reads 9298.
