NO RESERVE! 1965 HarleyDavidson Sportster XLCH 900 ironhead, original survivor including originalbirch white/black paint, frame paint, and paint on cylinders and heads,original finish on aluminum parts, never polished, 58 years of patina. This isa unique XLCH ordered with the larger 3.8 gallon “turtle tank” instead of themore common peanut tank. I purchased this from the original owner's family in2016 (bike had been setting for 20+ years) and I went through the completebike, front to back (mechanically only) servicing swing arm, transmission, wheel and neckbearings, brakes, rebuilt the top end/heads, new clutches, tires, chains, etc.ridden 4K miles since. Tachometer and speedometer showing original mileage of36K work, horn works, as well as the advance/retard for the magneto on the leftgrip, alloy rims, chain oiler system in place, original DC12 Linkert carb andair cleaner. No repairs to engine cases, clean original VIN, belly numbersmatch. Original owner's manual and magneto key included. This is the last yearof the classic “horseshoe” oil tank models and the first year for thetwelve-volt generator/electrical system. They are only original once. Paymentby cash in person, or bank transfer only within 3 days (funds must clear before release ofmotorcycle/title, typically 72 hours).
