1965 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH 900 ironhead, original survivor including original birch white/black paint, frame paint, and paint on cylinders and heads, original finish on aluminum parts, never polished, 58 years of patina. This is a unique XLCH ordered with the large 3.8 gallon “turtle tank” instead of the more common peanut tank. I purchased this from the original owner's family in 2017 (bike had been setting for 20+ years) and I went through the complete bike, front to back (mechanically only) servicing swing arm, wheel and neck bearings, brakes, rebuilt the top end/heads, new clutches, tires, chains, etc. ridden 4K miles since. Tachometer and speedometer showing original mileage of 36K work, horn works, as well as the advance/retard for the magneto on the left grip, alloy rims, chain oiler system in place, DC12 Linkert carb and air cleaner. No repairs to engine cases, belly numbers match. Original owner's manual and magneto key included. This is the last year of the classic “horseshoe” oil tank models and the first year for the twelve volt generator/electrical system. They are only original once. Payment by cash in person, or bank transfer only (funds must clear before release of motorcycle/title).
