1966 Honda Dream CA77 305cc EngineEngine turns over nicely, not even remotely seized or tough to turn.Shows 125 compression on both cylinders via lots of cranking with kick-starter, would probably be higher with a real 'crank' from the starter motor: See below why that wasn't possible.Not stripped - includes starter, side covers etc as pictured.Odometer shows 267 miles... See more info belowSEE PHOTOSAbout this BikeWe obtained two CA77's at an estate sale. The story we heard was that the original owner bought a pair of them in 1966 for his wife and himself. Shortly after purchase, she wrecked hers (the other bike of the pair does show some front-end damage) refused to ever ride again, and both bikes sat in the garage. About 10 years later he took 'his' bike out (the engine listed here is from that bike) and tried to get it running again - changed the oil, new battery, etc. but gave up. Both bikes were put in a garage on the property and left until the owner passed and we bought them... Great story. Can we be sure it's true? No. Are we sure the ultra-low mileage on the odometer is true? No. We're sure that we bought original-owner bikes that had titles issued in 1966. Both bikes ARE in relatively pristine condition. The only notable damage on this one was that rodents nested in the side covers and chewed the heck out of all the wiring. YMMV, just sayin' what we were told and what we observed. They're being sold as "for parts or rebuild" but we think they're darn-good bases to start from.
