1967 BMW R60/2PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE BIDDINGThis is a 1967 BMW R60 project with matching numbers. I purchased this bike from the estate of the original owner, and still have the old title from him to me indicating his date of purchase (7.13.1967). The old title is voided, but retained for records purposes. I have a clear and current, TN title in my name.This bike is a non-functioning project. It is extremely complete and would be an ideal candidate for a patina or full restoration.Please review the numerous, large, high quality photos carefully. I'll do my best to describe the bike fully, but the photos really tell the tale of this bike and its condition.The bike was ridden on at least a couple of long distance rides in the 1960's - Chicago to Mexico City for the 1968 Olympics and Chicago to Miami shortly after that. The bike wears some proud indications of both of these rides, as well as an original "flower power" sticker on the front fender from the 1967 "summer of love." The bike does have the desirable larger "sport" gas tank, although it is quite crusty inside and will need cleaned. The original tank liner is pretty much gone and there is quite a bit of corrosion inside the gas tank. I get the sense that the bike was parked without intentions of long-term storage/abandonment. As you can see in the photos, the body work is in very good condition overall and is very straight. The bike has a Craven rack and panniers that are in very good condition and include the key to the locks. The original BMW toolkit is included and is stored in the tank, for which I also have the original "square" key. The bar end signals are not Hella's and are a Japanese product. I'm told that they were on the bike when he bought it new at the dealer. I did find a set of NOS lenses for these signal lights (pictured) and they are included. The engine kicks over with good compression and everything seems to be in decent order, but with a generous serving of patina. The front tire tube does not hold air. I am located in rural Granville, TN 38564. Notes on pickup/bidding/communication - I will be on vacation and completely unavailable June 17-24. I'll be at a cabin in the mountains with no cell phone or internet. Please do not anticipate pickup or communication with me during this time.I live in a very rural area on a small county road. Semi-trucks generally refuse to come down my road. If you intend to use a shipping company, be sure to contract one that can make it to my address! Payment must be fully cleared and processed before pickup.Please do not bid on this if you do not intend to purchase it.
