Description:
1967 BMW R60/2. Matching numbers. This is an original bike that has had some freshening up. Some paint work was done, mainly on the frame and some of the small parts including the glovebox lid. All the aluminum was repolished, including the stainless exhaust system. Alot of the hardware was replaced. I do have the original that was removed. New parts include correct front and rear Metzeler tires and tubes, both front and rear axles, side stand, complete Denfeld seat, rear rack, rear lower shock adjusters, steering damper knob, fuel cap, front fender brace, handlebars, mirrors and battery. The rims are nice originals and it has stainless spokes. The cylinder heads have been rebuilt. The cylinders were honed and new rings were installed along with new gaskets and rubber pushrod tube seals. Several other seals in the engine and transmission were also changed. The oil pan was removed. The screen was cleaned along with the pan itself and the pan was repainted and installed with a new gasket. The bike has absolutely no leaks. The carburetors were soda blasted and rebuilt with new gaskets and correct fuel line. The inside of the fuel tank looks excellent and original. The bike runs, rides and shifts as it should. Everything on the bike, including the steering lock, works correctly. I have clear, clean title. Shipping is buyer's responsibility. Please be aware of shipping costs before you bid. I can store the bike for up to 2 weeks while shipping/pickup is arranged. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of close of sale with the remainder due within 7 days. I will accept cash in person, bank wire transfer or a cashier's check which would need to clear before I release the bike.
