Description:
History of this 1967 Yamaha YR1 350Gran Prix. This bike was purchased in 1967 in Ohio. 2friends bought 2 of these bikes. When this bike was purchased the buyer had thedealer put on the Yamaha high bars which was an accessory and a second seatcover to protect the original one. This seat remained covered till 2020 when the 3rd owner removed it and revealed a pristine original seat cover. The bike remained in the family of the 1st owner until 2012(1st owner passed away). It then went to the family friend that had boughtthe same bike back in 1967. He had long since gotten rid of his. He would only take this to shows but now at the age of 80 it was time to pass it along. It was sold to the 3rd owner inJune 2020. He had it to remember his Dad and himself picking up one of theseand bringing it home in the back of his dad’s F100 pickup. He was now restoringan F100 like his Dad’s to have the pair together again. But something came upand he was selling the bike. It is now April of 2021. I purchased thebike for 3 reasons. 1st was the story of this bike and the 2ndwas the condition of it. It was remarkable and 3rd I love 2 strokes.Everythingfrom the paint, chrome, tires, tools, even the air pump that mounts under thegas tank. The inside of the gas tank is like new. The enginehas never been apart. There has never been a tire spoon taken to the wheels. Itstill has an original key.Everythingworks as it should. The only things that have ever been replaced were thecables, spark plugs and the battery. This bike only has 3729 original miles. Ilike to ride my bikes and I don’t want to put a lot of miles on this one. Afterall the tires are 56 years old. This bike needs to be the star of someone’scollection. Title in hand in my name.
