Description:
BMW 1968 R60/2. Recently obtained from the original owner that bought it brand-new in Ohio from the Penton BMW Dealership. Still sporting its initial touring system of a Wixom fairing and Craven Silver Arrow panniers.It has been in storage for ~ 10 years and the engine occasionally turned over and run. I cleaned and flushed the fuel tank, installed a brand-new Karcoma fuel tap and ultrasonic cleaned (and fitted new carbohydrate gaskets/rings). The machine then started after several guide kicks and one ignition 'on' kick! It now begins quickly and easily, then settles into a smooth idle. I briefly rode the machine and it shifts really nice through all gears. The guiding stem bearings grease needs attention from its non-use. Somewhere during the late 60's or 70's the frame was changed at the Penton dealer. They made use of for some factor an earlier frame. I've maintained the device for the previous owner for ~ 30 years.There is one secret that fits the tank device lid lock and not the fork. The initial device kit is consisted of.
