There can not be too lots of left like this. Initial paint orange/ wrinkle black kickstart magneto Sportster with only 6,971 miles. I got the from the initial owner. Frame has a "J7" date which would be October '67 which would be correct for '68. The paint is still beautiful. There are a couple scratches in the rear fender and a very little chip in the tank. There may be a couple of other small scratches, however for a bike that is 46 years of ages it is in exceptional shape. The front fender was cut off at a long time in it's life. I can't see where anything has been repainted or touched up. Even the paint under the fenders and tank looks nice. I did some light cleaning on the bike but the brand-new owner can do the genuine detailing. There is some light pitting on places like the air cleaner and exhaust. All finishes look to be initial. Things that aren't initial that I can see are the mufflers and tires, and an oil cooler was added. The bike has actually been sitting for some time and I have not tried to start it. It kicks over simply fine. The new owner can do the starting. You can inform by looking that is has never been apart. All initial wiring. All '68's I have seen use a Guide RH-55 taillight housing. Even the leading lens screws still have the factory paint on them. This would be a great addition to your collection.
