-- 1968 Bonneville with TR6 Head --Close to complete project with additional parts not listed.Clean Texas Title - VIN DU78588 (1968)ENGINE: Engine is currently mounted in the frame, but no engine bolts have been torqued. Split engine cases vapor blasted.Cam bearings replaced.All case, crank and gearbox bearings replaced.New inlet and exhaust tappet guides and tappets.Primary cover, gearbox cover, timing cover all nicely polished and all hardware new and correct.Comes with a TR6 head completely rebuilt. Comes with the TR6 one carb manifold.Vapor blasted and rebuilt valve rocker covers with new inspection caps and locking springs.Valve cover studs, screws and nuts are new and correct.Engine cylinders machined for new 40/over pistons and rings.Rod end bearings replaced.Crank cleaned out, turned, trued and balanced.Engine internal and external hardware new and correct.Split case nuts and bolts are new and correct.Engine mounting to frame nuts and bolts are either new and correct or refurbished originals.All new and correct cylinder to case studs and star bolts.All new and correct cylinder head studs with high heads and correct thick washers. New gearchange quadrant. Clutch assembly:New Clutch Basket and chain.New chain tensioner blade.New clutchplatesNew friction clutch platesNew clutch operating rod.Rebuilt clutch lever assembly.Clutch shock center groves are in great shape and rebuilt with all new UK rubber inserts.New Rotor and Stator with new stator studs.New index plunger.New drainplug with level tube.Refurbished oil pump with new star washers and nuts.New oil pressure relief valve.New 19Tgearbox sprocket.New gear shift lever.FRAME:New unused and complete 1968 UK wiring harness currently only laying within the frame.Frame swing arm, front fork bottoms, most add’l frame parts media blasted and powder coated.Frame nuts and bolts are either new and correct or refurbished originalsFront forks completely rebuilt with all new components except the original bottom tubes.New front light frame ears with ignition on left side with the key – correct for 68.Currently has the original light housing mounted for mock up only.Original Smith gauges (both in need of refurbishment).New gauge mounting bracket with new and correct hardware.Gas tank stripped, inside cleaned and internally sealed with Por-15 tank sealer.Gas tank currently sits in several coats of silver base coat.Tool cover stripped, epoxy primed and now is painted black.2 oil tanks available. One with dent worked and now in epoxy primer. Second one looks very good currently in black paint and is mounted on the frame.New shocks with the chrome lower half.Shock hardware is new and correct.Original seat pan with a nos seat cover still in the box.Center stand was striped, epoxy painted black and looks great.New chrome handlebar.New chrome clutch and brake handles.Numerous misc brake, clutch and throttle cables.New kick starter pedal.New brake pedal.Rebuilt passenger pedals.All new pedal slip on rubberPolished original Dunlop front rim with all new CWC spokes. Needs final balance.New CWC rear chrome rim with all new CWC spokes. Needs final balance.Front tire that came with the bike when purchased.Bike will come with the original Dunlop rear rim...polished but most stamping is not legible.New rim liners and inner tubes. Front brake drum blasted and epoxy painted and rebuilt with all new brake components.New left side chrome break drum cover correct for 68.Rear brake hub blasted and powder coated. New rear brake drum and rebuilt with all new components.New rear sprocket mounted with refurbished original bolts.Any original hardware or nuts and bolts used (very few) were brought back to almost new condition.New rear axle with new re-packed bearings. New bearings on the front axle as well.Zener Diode heat sink refurbished and looks new.Rectifier refurbished and looks new.Almost all of the heavy lifting is complete and you could be the one to finish it!Around $8k into this project so far.
