This is a no reserve auction for my 1971 Honda SL70 K0. I am not a motorcycle dealer but a small Honda motorcycle enthusiast. I'm selling this bike to fund yet another project. This motorcycle was refurbished with an eye to retaining its originalparts, including the Aquarius Blue body parts and tank with white stripes andHonda badges. Other “born with” parts include excellent Honda-Krizman exhaust, ignitionswitch and key, handlebars, grips, lever perches and switches, as well as allcorrect number 8 Honda bolts and fasteners. The original seat is beautiful withno rips or repairs. Factory Nitto tires still have plenty of tread with very littlechecking. The optional speedometer shows only 510 miles. That may go up a little as I take it for a spin occasionally. The lack of wear onthe hand grips, foot pegs and tires is consistent with the shown low mileage. Frame number SL70-1068428. Engine number SL70E-169088. The gas tank and body parts are in exceptional condition with bright, glossypaint, showing only minor scratches and wear. Fuel tank is unlined and has been flushedwith EvapoRust to remove minor surface rust, it is clean and solid. The side covers are in perfect conditionhaving no cracks or broken tabs. The frontfender was bent and has been straightened and repainted with color-matchedpaint. The frame has been repainted silver. Chrome body pieces show very minor pitting and are bright and shiny. Some replacement parts have been installed, including hand levers, gas cap,battery, front fork stanchion tubes,seals, and dust caps. The rear shocks havebeen upgraded to units that support an adult's weight. The detailed 72cc SOHC four-stroke engine with factory Keihin carburetor has a new spark plug and points and the valves have been adjusted. It usually starts first kick and runs beautifully like a 510 mile Honda should! No leaks, smoke or noises. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothlywith no issues. There is no Title. The bike will be sold with a bill of sale. This is a little gem of a bike that looks beautiful on display and is ready to fire up and ride at a moments notice.
