1971 Yankee 500Z. Complete project bike. This bike has been sitting for a long time, has a clean title dated 1979.For those that don’t know about the Yankee 500Z, they are extremely rare, between 720-760 were produced in total. The engine is two Ossa 250 engines that were mated together. These are very interesting bikes, there is plenty of information online about them.The bike is all there minus one throttle cable, speedometer, the small cover that goes on top of the air filter, kickstart knuckle (lever is there, see pics), and the voltage regulator for the lights. The crankshaft spins over when you turn the crank with a ratchet, however if you kick it over, only the clutch/transmission spins and the crank does not (I kicked it over with another complete lever/knuckle from another bike).The transmission shifts through all the gears. There are several broken cooling fins on the bottom of the left cylinder.The wheels are in good shape, do not look banged up, the gas tank has some patches that were completed in the past.The stock exhaust is complete and not dented underneath (see pics) which is difficult to find. The top of one silencer has some corrosion. The buyer will receive a copy of an owners manual, parts book, along with the New Hampshire title. The title lists the bike as a 1974.A walk around video of the bike has been posted to YouTube. If you type in “Yankee 500Z for sale” in the search, it should come up under the same user name as EBay.Please review the video, and all pics. The pictures explain it all. Any questions, please reach out. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. Buyer must arrange all shipping or local pickup. A bank check, cash, or money order will be accepted for payment, the bike cannot be picked up until payment has cleared.
