1972 Husqvarna WR250 owned by actor/stuntman William (Bill) HickmanThis unrestored WR250 was owned by actor/stuntman William (Bill) Hickman who played in the movie Bullitt with Steve McQueen and also in The French Connection and The Seven-Ups. Hickman spent some of his earlier days as driver and friend to James Dean.The bikes was originally prepared by Don Vesco for upcoming desert races and was intended for the Baja 1000 race in 1972, but was never raced due to illness of assigned rider. Customizations done in 1972 included: frame work, extended swingarm with extra shock brackets, front suspension work, Mulholland shocks, cylinder porting, decompression system, Skyway exhaust muffler, custom welded skid plate. The frame and suspension work were done by Roger Ring.In November 1972 the Husqvarna got transferred to William Hickman.Original signed letter included, from the president of Husqvarna Mr. Bengt O. Farnstrom to Mr. Edison Dye, in which he requests documents for the 1972 250 with frame number MJ-03659 that was sent to Mr. William Hickman from Stuntman Unlimited, letter dated 03/07/1973.Copy included, of the owner's documents from William Hickman, dated 11/30/1972.Copy included, of receipt from Ring Cycle stating frame and suspension work done on 07/03/1972.The motorcycle was used by Stuntman Unlimited on set, and in a Miller Highlife Beer commercial by Stuntman Unlimited in 1973.
