1972 Moto Guzzi Elderado, Have owned the bike for appx 9-10 years , True Barn Find , and had been sitting for almost 10 years when I got it, did an " amateur" restoration cosmetically but all things considered a very nice restoration in appx 2016, very few miles since, due to medical issues: NOTE : THE LAST FEW PICS ARE THE " BARN" FIND AND A FEW OF RESTO. This Bike id NOT Perfect a few dings in the older resto, I would Highly recommend coming and looking at it , the bike is for sale locally so this listing could be cancelled at any time. Work Performed on the Bike(mostly in 2016) Replaced cylinder kits with Pistons wrist pins (due to concern of " flaking" cylinders) Standard Bore Replaced Oil pump, inspected bottom end was excellent overhauled Carbs Installed alternator kit (with built in regulator) to replace generator (Do have original generator) just to make it more reliable. rebuilt Starter Removed Heads cleaned and lapped valves , a small amount of play in guides but never replaced I do have new brass guides however Replaced driveshaft boot Removed front forks replaced all brass bushings and seals new throttle cable (braided) replaced brake shoes front and back New tires Removed swingarm serviced cleaned fuel tank lined with POR-15 Replaced clutch lining New cap/wires/points single stage black acrylic paint with 2 stage clear coat / 3m clear protector on tank New decals etc. as you can see the bike has a few period after market items: Batwing style fairing Fiberglass Bags with chrome rails backrest Notes: the bag rails and the backrest could use a re chrome overall its a nice bike , certainly nicer than most starts and runs good , I have normally started it once a month since resto and run to operating temps and drain carbs, also keep startron additive in fuel tank and have drained tank several times and added fresh fuel. cant really " warranty" an 50+ year old bike but I think you will be.
