Description:
For sale by owner original triple numbers matching 1973 long wheel base R75/5. It is definitely a survivor bike with good patina and all original except the seat (original seat is available and is included with the sale). I purchased this bike in 2017 and have recently moved and can no longer provide inside storage for multiple bikes so I am reluctantly selling my R75. Arguably one of BMW’s finest machines. Runs rides shifts and stops well. No smoke or oil drips. Brand New Dunlop K70 tires with less than 100 miles. Details:- Clean title in my name and currently registered in CA. - Very rare Original OEM BMW windscreen. I have been collecting BMW for over 30 years and never seen another one like this. - Comes with original complete tool kit, tire pump and lock. - battery new in 2019- rebuilt carbs and synch 2019- new fork gaiters and fork oil 2023 - new right side perch switch (indicator switch push button start switch)- all electrical working including horn Please Note Speedometer and tach are working but the odometer is not working. Also worth noting that the speedo needle is slightly warped and occasionally gets caught on the resting pin. I would recommend speedo rebuild. Overseas speedo does a nice job at a fair price. I have no way to verify actual miles but there is minimal wear on the break pedal indicating lower rather than higher mileage which checks out with what the previous owner told me.
