Description:
I never included the locking pin to the seat. I left the sissy bar on for a couple of years and when eliminated it left two digs (consisted of in photos) in the rear deck. Mechanically, the bike starts quickly. Smokes a little till it heats up. Could be valve seals. Carburetors were cleaned and synced about 10 years earlier. When you first get going, I guess with the new ethanol gas it has gunked them up a bit while sitting and causes some stutter. When going, the bike runs excellent. Changed oil at end of last season. Most likely has 100 miles on oil. The bike has actually never been down while riding, but has actually fallen over when on each side. Right side mirror broke when fell over and I chose to place on the little chromies. The exhaust on each side has a small scuff (included in pictures) from falling over. The ideal front turn signal bracket is torqued a little from falling, which could be sured up quickly. There is a little surface rust right here and there, but not too noticeable. The battery box area has some substantial surface area corrosion which might most likely be cleaned and painted with flat black rust evidence paint. The battery is brand-new as of last season and is constantly on a tender. The exhaust headers are practically ideal. The tank probably has 500 coats of wax on it. It is nearly ideal. The wheels are in excellent shape except for a touch of corrosion. The crash bar has a fair bit of rust on top. Could be rechromed or removed. When it fell over, it sure did help from more damage. The horn vibrated off a couple of years earlier and I place on an after market thing that works often. All in all this bike is not extremely far from being totally stock.
