1974 BMW R60/6 blue. This BMW hasmatching VIN numbers. As usual we performed a factory recommended 10k service,which included servicing wheel bearings; the rear bearings were replaced withnew, the front ones were in very good condition. We mounted and balanced newDunlop tires and new tubes. We installednew throttle cables, new original braided cloth covered Continental fuel line,and new rider foot peg rubbers, brake and clutch switch rubbers, throttlecables boots, and the tachometer cable rubber block into engine. We rebuiltthe forks, installing new 11 rib rubber fork gators and new steering bearings.We inspected and resealed the transmission, cleaned and serviced theinstruments. We rebuilt the carbs. Thetransmission was opened up and inspected and resealed. While the transmissionwas out we cleaned and inspected the clutch and lubricated the clutch splines.Since we were there, we replaced the rear main seal and oil pump O-ring. Some minorrepairs were needed on the main wiring harness, and we replaced front and rearstop switches, starter relay, and turn signal flasher relay. A factoryrecommended ground upgrade harness kit was installed. The exhaustheaders were solid, so we just polished them up, and installed a good solid setof used stock mufflers. A new pair of progressive shocks with chrome springswere installed. The bike hasa tool tray, but no tool kit. The key fits all the locks. A set of reproductionbattery covers were painted satin black and installed. We put sometest ride miles on the bike to be sure that everything is functioning properly.The bike will receive a new battery when sold.
