I am selling my 1975 Honda CB750 from my collection in aneffort to downsize things around here. This is an outstanding example of the game changing CB750, it is verydependable and has been a real joy to ride and restore. I have driven it monthly throughout myownership since purchasing it in 2014. It has been inspected, registered, insured andserviced every year. It runs strong andthe only modern upgrades are the electronic ignition and LED light bulbsthroughout. I have been an avid restorerof vintage Hondas for the previous 25 years and I cheated a bit when purchasingthis bike as the frame off restoration had been completed for the K5 model itis. I have an extensive inventory of NOSHonda parts and my personal plans were to restore an earlier k1 in candy goldwhich is the bike my father purchased new in 1971. I was lucky enough to drive his and comingoff my SL350, the 750 felt like a cruise missile! So I pulled all the K5 items off includingbodywork, fender, signals, gauges, upper triple clamp, grab rail etc andreplaced them with new old stock K1 parts. I left the NOS HM340 exhaust as is to avoid a jetting issue with thecarbs. It’s a dead ringer and themileage is correct since the previous owner rebuilt the engine and restored theframe. It runs strong. The wheels and spokes were also new. The bike is the “prom queen” of my currentcollection, but I am moving in the direction of modern classics. This year’s spring servicing included oil/filter, valve lashinspection and adjusting, ignition timing inspection and adjustment, Carbsynching and a general going over in preparation for selling the bike. It is oil tight excluding the chain oilerwhich functions as designed. Finally, it is a 49-year-old bike and should be treated assuch. If you have no experience orknowledge regarding vintage bikes or do not have access to someone who does, please don’t bid on this bike. There areplenty of modern retro bikes out there that don’t require the level ofinvolvement. Still available at ListedBuy!
