Description:
76 GL1000 with low miles. I would explain this bike as nice partially recovered condition. Good paint and full $474 service on 6/30 inc. Carb cleaning and syncing, timing belt replacement, Oil, coolant and brake fluid modification, reconstruct of rear master cylinder. OEM aluminum valve covers, timing belt covers and carbohydrate down tubes have been skillfully polished and brand-new gaskets all round. Bike begins, runs and moves smoothly. I have north of $5k into this bike and simply can not validate having a vintage carb bike with such a short riding period in Oregon.There has been obvious retouch on the frame and some of the chrome has small pitting (these parts are readily avail on Ebay). I purchased this from NY last year and had it shipped to Portland. I have not ridden it barely at all (a lot of bikes insufficient time syndrome)I am sincere and very particular with my bikes, so will you drive this to Pebble Beach and win? no. Will you be the coolest children on the block? yes!!! I have seen GL1000s going for North of $5k just recently, and the reserve on this is set well below that, at a price I think is reasonable to the condition and mileage.I have taken as lots of closeup and comprehensive photos of as much of the bike as possible.
