Description:

1976 Kawasaki KZ900 motorcycle. Compression revealed 135 PSI on cyclinders #2 and #3 (145 PSI is normal). The bores are absolutely stock and 100% original with less than .008 thousandths wear top to bottom. I had the bores honed and the stock pistons Swain Moly-Coated with exact factory specs tolerances. Replaced the factory rings with NOS ones from the 1970's - still in their factory packaging. The exhaust guides on the 900's were known to wear, so I installed new Kibble White guides, the ports all "blueprinted" to factory design specs wherein all mating surfaces and casting flash was removed as you see in the photos. New, Stainless Kibble White valves, new keepers, and retainers were installed - replacing the originals. The valve seats were treated to a 3 angle Sunnen valve job while the stems were all matched perfectly to the specified stem heights. The cams were checked against factory specs and absolutely no wear or changes from stock specs were found. New Factory/Kawaski roller, cam chain, and tensioner were installed. All gaskets, seals, and O-Rings were replaced with factory parts.This bike and engine are like new.
