1976 Suzuki RM125A Up for auction is a 1st generation RM125A. The bike that won the 125cc World motocross Championship every year in a row from 1975 -1984. A legendary racer from the golden age of motocross and an highly collectible part of motorcycle history. Here is a superb example of this iconic machine. Very original and in excellent condition,obviously a low hour machine. Numbers matching- Frame # RM125-41588 Engine # RM125-41457. Tank has the original paint, some very minor scratches, and a very, very, tiny dent on the right side, but amazing for the year. Seat likewise is original, I believe, with no rips or tears. Original exhaust and silencer is as dent fee as you can get. The front number plate is original, the front fender and side number plates are Suzuki NOS, the rear fender is a quality reproduction. The inside of the tank is spotless, Rims are straight and the aluminum is in excellent condition The top end has been rebuilt with less than an hour on it. A 34MM period correct Mikuni carb was added and recently rebuilt and jetted correctly for the engine, air filter is new, fresh oil change, new plug, fuel filter, fairly fresh set of tires. It starts easily, idles, sounds great, runs fantastic, and is remarkably quick for a vintage motocross bike. Smells great too. The clutch is smooth, it shifts perfectly, acceleration is fantastic, crisp and clean, no unusual noises, clunks, or rattles, stops as it should, and the engine has no leaks. Frame is straight with no bends or dents. I'm sure nicer ones exist, but you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one for sale in the world right now. It would be a great addition to any collection or kick some ass in the vintage class. It is not absolutely perfect, paint has been touched up, engine, frame, and exhaust were repainted, but it is an incredibly well preserved, unmolested, super clean, vintage motocross bike. Please examine the pictures carefully, it is the best description you can get. I have some receipts from the original owner that go with the bike. There is no title as they were not issued on dirt bikes of this era, but is sold with a Bill of Sale and a clean VIN check. If you're looking for a steal, look elsewhere. If you're looking for an amazing example of a true survivor at a fair price with a reasonable reserve, here it is. Nice examples of this bike have recently sold in excess of 8K. Add a piece of motorcycle history to your collection. Ready to display, show, or race.
