I have always cared for this bike. It was always protected from the elements and has spent 99% of it's life in the garage. I usually get it out several times a summer, do a little maintenance and ride it for a while. The seat is big enough for two and it has two sets of foot pegs so occasionally the wife will hop on it with me. The bike weighs under 200 pounds and it is actually pretty powerful. Top speed is supposed to be 55+ mph and supposedly it will get 70-85 miles per gallon! It is a great bike to have fun on, ride with a family member or teach your kid to ride. It is a great family bike. Over the years I have kept up maintenance on the bike. A Kawasaki dealer installed a new piston and rings around 89'. It has probably only been ridden 500-750 miles since. Some of the other things I have done in the last 10-15 years are: tune up, new tires, new clutches, new OEM seat cover, gas tank has been coated and rust proofed, new petbird and new carburetor kit installed. I am sure I am forgetting some stuff, but I have just done maintenance stuff each year to keep it going good. The parts are super cheap and easy to get, so that is another plus. I installed a new carburetor kit this summer and the bike runs well for about 15 minutes and then sputters. The carburetor needs a slight adjustment, but I never got around to doing it. This is a two-stroke bike so it has plenty of power. I have been premixing for about 20 years now on the advice of a friend that is a mechanic, but the bike still has the oil injector if you want to use that instead. To make this bike a daily rider I would recommend fine tuning the carburetor, installing a new battery and checking the turn signals and taillights. I have never installed a battery on the bike since I have owned it. I always rode it the way it is. The headlight works, but without a battery I can't test the other lights. This is a very simple bike and very easy to work on. Anyone that is handy can have. Still available at ListedBuy!
