As the 1960s dawned, Triumph's larger twins stayed recognizably much like the first Speed Twin of 1938. Unitary construction of engine and gearbox was already a feature of the 350 and 500 twins though, which development appropriately appeared on the 650s in 1963. The caf racer's favourite because its launch, thanks to lusty acceleration and a top speed approaching 120mph, the Bonneville continued in this new type as Triumph's top-of-the-range sportster, reaching exactly what enthusiasts consider its supreme spec with the launch of the 1968 model. By this time the frame had actually been arranged and 12-volt electrics standardized, but welcome enhancements consisted of shuttle-valve fork internals, independently adjustable ignition points, Amal Concentric carburettors and a long overdue twin-leading-shoe front brake. For the next few periods the Bonnie continued basically the same, before the launch of the 'oil-in-frame' designs in 1970. The bike provided includes a 1977 frame, stamped for November build date of that year, with all the modern amenities of disc brakes and later model suspension, and mounted in it is a 1967 TR6 650cc engine with single carb, among the finest configuration motors ever produced by Triumph. The bike runs well, starts easily and idles smoothly. Gearbox shifts well with a great clutch. All cycle parts work well and there are no leakages to mention. The bike has a clean, clear California title. Kindly keep in mind the Engine is a 'C' design. The Engine number is TR6C DU58226
