1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 Z1R clone ….. frame up restoration…. 11 month build …. Motor total rebuild … 10:1 compression …. Motor was media blasted all new covers bolts etc the carbs are 29 smooth bores and were also gone thru …. Vance & Hines professional sidewinder pipe … finding all the parts for a Z1R was as hard as it comes if you know you know these bikes were only built in 1978 and 1980 … bike has a 300 rear wheel a custom front 18” wheel … all parts used were as original as we could find from the bodywork the tank the side covers the front fender the rear tail etc …. All new electrical the gauges had a partial restore with all new bulbs and the glass on the Speedo was replaced as that glass many break it’s a known issue with Z1R gauges …. Everything else we couldn’t find was bought and are reproduction parts …. Bike was done right and runs great …. Sounds great and turns heads like crazy … only has about 20 miles on it since the bike was finished…. Please feel free to ask whatever questions you have and I’ll do the best to answer them ….
