It's said that each Suzuki dealership was lucky to get just one "Wes Cooley" on the showroom floor while they were available in 1979 & 1980."With Cooley and Yoshimura winning on the track, for the 1979 season Suzuki launched the new GS1000S, a model originally meant for the European market only -- until U.S. dealers saw the bike. They wanted them, and eventually they got a very limited supply -- approximately 500 of the 1979 edition, and just a few more than 700 in 1980. One, the story goes, for every Suzuki outlet in the U.S. Thanks to the Wes Cooley racing connection, the sporty S was soon nicknamed the "Wes Cooley replica,"This bike has to be one of the last, tucked away for years California garage stored examples. She's truly a wonderful opportunity to purchase a highly collectible limited production machine that will only go up in value, aside from being a wonderful machine to ride and enjoy.Do your research and give me a call. These bikes are running over 10K overseas. This bike is a one owner machine aside from the 5 miles I've put on her, and includes a very rare installed "Yoshimura Race Dept" exhaust system. This machine is about as stock and original as your gonna find.
