1981 Yamaha SR500. Clear title, matching numbers. Yes, the actual milage is 4,917. Starts first or second kick. Remarkable condition for its age, potential for a museum quality restoration if you can find an original muffler. Mostly original except for the muffler and handle bars. Original handle bars, Haynes workshop manual, spare rear fairing, auxiliary grip mirror for the left grip are all included with the sale. Original rear fairing repaired with epoxy, repair is barely noticeable. Gas tank is almost rust free, currently using ethanol free gas. All rubber is in excellent condition, the age of the tires is unknown, but they appear very good. Small scratch on the top front of the gas tank was touched up.I bought this SR500 locally about a year ago, hoping to rediscover the love for riding I had in my youth (I owned a 1972 Bonneville back in the day) but I'm finding that riding is an uncomfortable mix of exhilaration and terror, partly from trying to remember which side the brake is on, and also due to an unrelated back injury.
