For sale, a 1991 Kawasaki ZX7 Ninja. I have owned this bike for 11 years now, and I am the third owner. The bike is in excellent condition, approaching museum quality. The original owner purchased the bike new, and made enhancing performance and cosmetic changes to the bike, and the bike won 1st Place at the 1991 Cycle World's Reader Collection Bike Show at the Pontiac Silverdome(home of the Detroit Lions for many years for you non-Michigan people). There are NO cracks in the body work anywhere, and paint is in excellent condition, outside of the FINAL three photos in the photo section showing the imperfections. Improvements from the early '90's to the bike(period correct) by the original owner include;-Aerodynamic close out panel beneath the tail section-Turn signals; Front - flush mounted and painted body color. Rear - hidden under tail section above license plate-Nine liter storage compartment in tail section by Speed Line(original advertisement included in paperwork)-Rear fender painted green with customized chain guard added-Inside body work painted black-New rear brake caliper brace added-Rear passenger pegs removed, and new custom-made muffler hanger added-Vance & Hines SS2R exhaust system-Seats recovered in matching blue and white vinyl-New rear seat hardware fabricated to permit hinged rear seat and access to storage area-Foot pegs and mounting plates radiused, polished, and recesses "blackened out"-Stainless steel braided brakes lines, front and rear-Mirrors painted to match body work-Custom made protective paint bra-Shop manual and original manual-Original tool kit-Original equipment to take bike back to stock included directionals, rear fender, immaculate silencer, etcRecent upgrades by myself include;-Newer Bridgestones Battleax BT016's-Newer Ferodo brake pads(need to seated in...not much use)-Recent oil change and new plugs-Carbs professionally rebuilt in July by widegeorge out of Texas-bike runs very wellI am now 55 years old, and with kids in college, so unfortunately, I have to sell the bike. Over the years of owning many motorcycles, NO BIKE I have owned has gotten nearly as much attention as this bike. Recently, I was at the gas station putting in fuel after installation of the rebuilt carburetors, and a large group of Ducati sportbike riders pulled into the station. Once parked, they sprinted over to the bike up close and had a lot of questions...you JUST don't see bikes like this anymore. I have ridden it very little in recent years. It needs a new caretaker, someone who will love and cherish the bike as the first three owners have, and ride it more often. I will accept payment by Paypal, cash upon pickup, or a cashier's or certified funds check, but outside of the cash, the bike WILL NOT leave my possession until Paypal has cleared the payment, or cashier's check or certified funds check as cleared.
