The Big 1This is a 1 owner machine. The owner is my friend and riding buddy, and he had a stroke last fall. I am offering the motorcycle for sale on his behalf with a clean and clear title in hand. At the age of 42, he purchased this bike back in 1994, and he rode it until the age of 70. The bike has never been wrecked or dropped. It is all original with the exception of standard wear items such as tires, battery, fluids and filters, and the bike is in excellent condition. It has always been stored in climate controlled setting, and it needs absolutely nothing. There is a very small spot on the tank (smaller than a dime: see last 2 photos) where a paint chip was covered. There is NOT a dent in the tank. Otherwise the bike is perfect. The photos speak for themselves, and there is an on bike video showing a cold start and the bike running threw the gears. The microphone was placed just behind the cylinder head and below the carbs in order to pick up the engine sounds as it pulled hard and shifted through the gears.Fluids were changed religously with latest oil and filter change being last week. To prepare the bike for sale, I removed the tank, side and rear fairings, wheels, and header in order to properly clean, polish and detail. The carbs were cleaned and synced in 2017. The tires have lots of tread, but they are date coded 2013. It comes with the original tool kit, owners manual, and shop manual. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a 1 owner classic Honda CB1000 Super Four. With it's rarity, this is a collectable machine that is expected to increase in value. It is also an extremely versital motorcyle that handles everything from a city cruise to a cross country adventure.I chose not to put new tires on the bike because different buyers may choose to go different dirrections. If I were going to keep the bike, I would convert to a set of identical wheels with a 17" diameter rathedr than the 18" wheels on the bike. The VTR1000 had these wheels in a 17", and they can be had on eBay for about $300. With 17" wheels, tire options become endless. I run 17" wheels from a VTR1000 on my 1995 CB1000.This was Honda's shot at returning to the UJM's made in the 1970, and in my opinion, they nailed it. This bikes is at home doing everything from an evening city cruise to a cross country adventure tour. However in the early to mid 1990's, buyers wanted their liter bikes wrapped in plastic.
