You are bidding on a complete 1996 Suzuki Bandit. I am the third owner and purchased the Bandit in October of 2008. The original owner added braided front brake lines and removed the fairing and rear fender parts. I have added the integrated rear turn/stop light, LED headlight, instrument lights and front turn signals, engine crash guards, grips, front fender extender, bar risers and fork wrappers. The Delkevic exhaust is brand new; it has about an hour of use.I also had the seat improved by Sargent Cycles. I painted the plastic side panels as they had become faded...not my best work but from 20 feet away it looks good.I've had great fun with the Bandit and it's loads of fun to ride. However, it needs repair. It was fully functioning on June 20 when it went in for a valve adjustment and other maintenance. After the valves were adjusted the mechanic started the bike and oil started gushing from the engine. Diagnosis: crack in cylinder head. Not sure where to lay the blame but that's the situation. I have purchased another cycle and hope someone can use this bike in whole or in pieces. The clutch was slipping and was going to be repaired but the cylinder head cracked before the work was done. Tires are 10 years old and were on my list to be replaced at the end of this year.I have a service manual, receipts for purchases, new OEM clutch plates and all rubber boots for both sides of each carburetor. I'll also put in a tank bag if it's desired. Also includes a correct historic vehicle plate if you wish to register it as such in Michigan. Please ask any questions you have.
